Volunteering

Volunteering is often a good first step back towards paid work, allowing you to learn new skills, meet new people and gain confidence. More flexible than a paid job, volunteering can be ideal if you have limited time available or need to take time out to check on a loved-one.

Charities and organisations that have volunteering opportunities generally provide comprehensive training and this can include communication skills, health and safety, computer skills and 'on the job' training.
