Back in Sept 2009 Surrey Young Carers invited professionals from Health, Social Care, Education and Youth Services to an Interagency conference at Dorking Halls. Our aim was to update the current young carer strategy that had come to the end of its three year cycle and to make sure young carers become everyone’s responsibility in the coming years.
As an outcome from the conference a Focus group has been set up with representation from each of the sectors. We are also very fortunate to have young carers feeding in their views and suggestions for Surrey strategy.
